Flutter Entertainment – the powerhouse company behind Paddy Power and Betfair has announced this morning that they are to merge with The Stars Group in an all shares deal. The combined brands of Sky Bet, Stars, Paddy Power and Betfair would undoubtedly be the largest Gambling business in the world, far surpassing the revenue earned by other giants such as Ladbrokes Coral and bet365.
The merger is set to generate £140million in savings as synergies across the brands are created, and an annual 2018 revenue of £3.8billion would see them far surpass any one else operating in regulated markets.
